Frequently Asked Questions
I am a beginner in Yoga, where do I start?
If you've never done yoga before, then we recommend joining our 75 Minute 'Beginners 101' course on Tuesday evenings. The 6 week course will introduce you to all aspects of 'yoga' from the philosophy to the physical. There will be plenty of space for you to ask questions and to meet other new beginners.
Do I have to book in advance? How do I register and pay?
*** As there are only 3/4 spaces in the studio, it is compulsory to book into each class/course/workshop to ensure your space.
If you are creating a new account, please use your email address you've given us on the day of registration. If you are a new customer, please create your account according to the instruction given when login in.
What do I need to wear for Yoga?
Wear comfortable gym clothes in which you can move well. Yoga is done barefoot, so please take off your shoes and put them next to the entrance in the shoes shelf as soon you enter the room.
Can I eat before Yoga?
Ideally, you should practice yoga on an empty stomach. If you’re eating a light meal prior to your yoga class, make it at least 1 to 2 hours, heavier meals roughly 3 to 4 hours beforehand. This should give your digestive system enough time to digest and you won’t feel uncomfortable during class.
Do I need a mat or bring anything with me?
Yoga mats are provided by The Yoga Loft along with any props you might need during class. Although if you come regularly to yoga classes, you might be more comfortable with having your own mat. You also might like to take a handtowel with you, as most likely you will sweat during class.
Can I park at The Yoga Loft?
Yes you can, there is designated parking...and much of it. You will never have a problem with parking. However, please park so as the boats can be removed from the hanger
What is the minimum age for attending a class/workshop/treatment at The Yoga Loft?
When should I arrive for my class?
The studio will be open 5 minutes prior to your class. There is no waiting room so make sure not to arrive too early (especially in the winter)!
Is ther an Elevator?
There is no wheelchair access. There is a small staircase to climb to the studio
Do you have a Bathroom?
We have a toilet a moment away from the studio, ask Olivia where it is and she shall show you
