Prenatal Yoga (6 Week Course)

Service Description

During pregnancy, you want to stay in shape and do what is best for you and your baby. Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to do both. In our fast paced world, yoga offers a much-needed opportunity to slow down and connect with your baby and with your body as it transforms. Whether you are new to yoga or are already an experienced practitioner, you can enjoy the many benefits of yoga during pregnancy. A fundamental aspect of prenatal yoga is breath work. During childbirth, the body needs oxygen, both for the baby (who needs energy to move down into the pelvis and to be born) and for the mother, who needs energy for labour and recovery. At the same time, prenatal yoga also works on the mind. It will help the mother-to-be to think about how she apprehends events (work on stress), to perceive physical sensations (work on pain). The lessons will also allow you to work on emotions (anxieties, questions from the future mother about pregnancy, childbirth, and after) Throughout this 6 Week Course, you will not only connect with other mothers but you will gain skills and knowledge that you can take with you prior and post birth. The course content includes: Week 1- Grounding, Chakra Questionnaires, Self Massage and Restorative Yoga. Hip Stability and Flexibility. The Pelvic Floor. Week 2- Creativity: Myofascial Release, Moon Salutations and TRE (Tremor release exercises). Stability for the Sacrum. Week 3 - Personal Strength/Solar Plexus: Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) Managing your energy through Vinyasa Flow and focus on abdominal and lower back muscles. Week 4- Connection: Creating Space in the Chest & Shoulders. Yoga Nidra Week 5- Communication: EFT (Tapping/Emotional Freedom Technique) and Slow Vinyasa Flow Week 6- Intuition & Awareness- Meditation, Slow Vinyasa Flow and Yoga Nidra.

The cancellation window for all bookings is 24 hours. Classes cancelled within this window will be marked as a 'late-cancel' & no refund will be issued. Full refunds via Wix Bookings or class credits are available for classes that are cancelled with more notice than 24 Hours.
